#uosdaily Life is a gift for some, and a burden for others. It's how we live it, wrap it or unwrap it that makes it a burden or a gift. Make your life a gift to yourself and others. Is your life a gift or a burden?

How to know yourself, that is the question. There are great references in the ancient Veda - Sanskrit texts of India, that discuss exactly this subject in detail. I recommend Bhagavad Gita. It discusses how the self is covered by the body and mind, including ego, and is originally eternal consciousness in full cognizance and bliss.

It's easy for me. I take the time to know me. I listen to my body, I take note of my actions and decisions. I examine my life, where I am today. Where I was last year.Where I am coming from and wants to go ot. I am connected to my feelings, and I learn quickly. The things that doesn't make me feel happy that are not important, my pain guides me away from it. I use pain as my guide to stay away from many things. I use the map of my past to guide me into the furure I want for me. Since I am connected to my feelings, I learn fast, so most mistakes aren't repeated. If I don't know me, I can't say I know others.

Words hurt. How it was said, can hurt or be heeded. Who said it, makes it meaningful or worthless. How we take it, strengthens us or destroys us. (Annelise Lords)
