About

We live in a time of paradoxes and extremes. A time in which media mainly pay attention to contradictions and conflict, while reality is often much more nuanced. Each question has multiple answers, each problem has multiple angles and each solution has multiple outcomes. I will try to highlight major personal and social issues from a surprising perspective. No pat answers, but hopefully some unexpected insights, new ideas and, especially, a lot of food for thought! Already thanks for stopping by!

Belpop Bonanza #3: Tourist leMC - Horizon Belpop: a invented collective name for music from Belgian groups. Nutrition is something I'm interested in, so I find your article very revealing. When doing a quick research with no logical guidelines and proactive thinking, it's true that Google tends to act like a drama queen and offer you all kinds of exaggerations. I also think you're right about advertising being at the bottom of this. Moreover, I think that most of information like that is founded on a war between certain industries. Some will say aspartame is good, other will say it's bad. Not because they care about us knowing the truth, but because each side lobbies for its own product, which implies modulating our reality. I like that you shared some trusty resources and I will check into them. And speaking of that, here's a question: how can we know that even reputable scientific studies aren't politically affiliated with their founders? I mean who knows what really happens behind the curtains. Money can influence everything, while the academe has all the right rhetoric tools to always look good and trustworthy. It's something that it's been eating at me for a long time.

Nice cover. I love bass, it's my most favorite instrument ever — even did a super tiny bit of playing back in the day, but I don't have the ear, so I dropped it. Also, my favorite War Pigs cover is by Faith No More: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqdJHDGSfhI

That is a very interesting read. To be honest I was definitely not expecting the colonialism part, but... I've traveled quite a bit and that was the exact same thought that was in the back of mind always. Kinda happy to see I'm not the only one and to have it articulated.

My main reason for travailing is to experience the wonderful scenery nature can provide, and to see things I haven't seen before.

Last weekend I discovered the app QuitNow! It helps you quit smoking. I thought: why not try? Here are my stats U people: - days stopped: 2 days, 21 hours and 26 minutes - avoided cigarettes: 26 - saved money: 8.58 € - time saving: 2 hours and 36 minutes The nice thing about the app is that you can find statistics about your health, milestones to keep you motivated and an entire community that more

wow a fellow smoke, quitter nice. I quit last summer, but not entirely. I switched from cigarettes to an occasional snus (which does a lot less damage, like really a lot less). nice dapp idea, although I'm note sure how that would work.
