Human Perception

I find it interesting how we often take human perception for granted, when in reality it follows strict patterns of recognition and making sense of reality.

For me, it is important to be aware of these Gestalt Principles because we live in an age where being bombarded with subliminal messages is the norm, especially in advertising and mass-media.

For instance, knowing how perception works might make you more vigilant when you watch Disney movies (that are famous for this kind of practices).

So, when you become aware of it, this side of psychology might act like a firewall against things that you wouldn't want to just slip in the back of your mind.

Either if they bother you or not ideologically, for sure no one wants to be hacked mentally and you would rather profess some locus of control.

Therefore, if you are the type of person who is very selective about the information you are consuming, I recommend some research on these Gestalt principles of human perception. It is also interesting to find out a new dimension of how your mind works.
