I'm super socially awkward. I can talk with people easily online. But in real life... not so much. I get so nervous talking to people, and I'm always so scared that I'm going to say the wrong thing.

I'm sorry to hear that Barry :( I do agree strongly that change is necessary and understand the complications that come from taking that stance! If you ever find yourself ready for escape, I suggest letting the watermelon dress fly free in the wind! ;)

I always thought that the real personality is a mix of both - the way we act in a physical and in virtual world. But most of the time these two things are very different from each other. I also think that immutability is good - makes people act more responsibly from the very start. Nice little article by the way :)

I am glad for you that you are becoming "you". I do think it is a sad reflection of our modern civilized society that people cannot be who they "are" in their daily lives. We tell people to "live authentically" and then give oh so many cues that their reality is oh so wrong. Great post!

Hi @heatherg1111 - thank you! This subject is something I talk about a lot because you're right, there is so much judgment, stigma and social rules in 'real life' that hold us back from being able to express ourselves but it seems to get a bit more green light online. It's always naturally been part of my online personality to be who I am here without any apologies and that seems to cultivate like-minded community that builds the confidence to take it into daily life outside as well. ;)

Steem economic model is a model of pyramid controlled by few lucky ones while the rest gets peanuts - after being there for a while I think it sucks. Just hope that this place will work out differently - all them bits and pieces seem to be in right places :D

"Personally, I don't see how looking at numbers on a screen in a bank or in a wallet is any different..." - golden words. Cece, you're most welcome to share the knowledge you possess concerning blogging on the blockchain, that would be invaluable for the U°OS and U°Community team. You might make some kind of a series of articles under a common hashtag :)
